FUGU | Tui Cruises

Full CGI content we’ve created for the FUGU restaurant on the Mein Schiff Relax, a japanese inspired kitchen by chef Tim Raue, as a part of the immersive 360° dining experience. The task was to connect the Japanese Kintsugi craft with the visuals of the main course (Wagyu beef) in a creative, calm and playful way. Based on a minimalistic gallery setup for Japanese porcelain art with atmospheric accentuated lighting, the figures symbolize typical Japanese objects as well as the protagonists from the stories of the previous courses of the menu. After showing the details of the fine craftsmanship, the figures seem to fill with energy. Through a seemingly invisible force, the individual figures begin to shatter into hundreds of individual pieces. The numerous porcelain fragments are now reassembled to form a new Kintsugi artwork.
